Graze - nature delivered

I'm writing this at twenty to three on a Saturday morning, so if you find any spelling mistakes I apologize! I can't sleep so I thought I may as well get something done, and saw my laptop staring at me from across the room so here I am: cold, ill, and in that mood where I'm really tired but however much I try, unable to sleep. But I'm not alone, oh no, I have my good friends - Elton John, Dean Martin, Nancy Wilson, The Ronettes and Bing Crosby to name a few - keeping me company and serenading me with the joyfulness that is Christmas. So far it isn't working, but there's still time I guess...
Anyway, on to the bulk (of sorts) of this post... My Graze box!

I first ordered one of these a few months ago and recently, on a similar night to this in fact (late/feeling sorry for myself, about the time I do most of my online shopping actually, oops) decided that the one thing I needed in my life was not driving lessons, nor a ticket to my Christmas Dance, but in fact a box full of healthy snacks. Yes, it seemed like a fabulous idea at half one in the morning..

I can't moan though, these boxes are great. If you're not aware of them, the general idea is that you create an account on www.graze.com, and the contents of your box is pretty much in your own hands. You sign up, let them know what products in their range you like, or dislike, and they package your box with this information in mind before sending it to you first class - you can even pick which day you want it to be delivered.

The honeycomb flapjack is so nice! Probably not the healthiest though... Oh well!

I think these boxes are really worth it, they cost under £4, and with the code Q2LMB9Y3 you can get one box for free and your next half price. You can always do what I did at first and cancel your deliveries after your free/half price boxes!;)
Again, sorry for the (probable) poor quality of this post, it's now 2.53am and I'm so sleeeepy! Have any of you tried this service before? Did you like what was in your box?Evie x*I saw an advert for graze.com on TV today! 22nd Jan*

Okay, if you made it this far then props to you! This is a really long post that most people won't read to love yaaa if you do!;) Also, I'm sorry about the ugly writing, I couldn't work out how to change it so yeah, I'm aware it looks horrible! I'm also aware that this hasn't really given you an insight into 'me', but hopefully a bit of my personality will have come through so you can 'get' me a bit better? If not, that was a waste of 20 minutes, haha!

Hope you enjoyed this/didn't get too bored with it! I'll try to get back to normal posts soon!

Viva Barcelona

As a few of you might know, I went to Barcelona on October for a week with school. It was such a good week and I was so glad I got to spend my birthday with my two favourite girls in the SUN!
It was an art trip so, as expected, we did all the artsy stuff - museums, galleries, sketching etc. But we also had time to ourselves where we could explore the city and shop, eat, sunbathe, whatever we wanted. The weather was SO hot, definitely hotter than everyone was expecting - being on a full coach in 37 degrees for 2/3 hours a day isn't exactly my idea of fun, but we had such a laugh!
I totally forgot to do a post about this trip, I guess because it's a bit different to what I usually blog about. However seeing as I've had no blogging material whatsoever recenly - don't get me wrong I've been shopping, but I always forget to take pictures etc, and I've had no time - I thought I'd let you know about my time in Barcelona!
Here are just a few pictures of what we got up to while we were there!

I absolutely loved Barcelona! Have any of you been? What did you think?

My every-day make up bag & update

Yet another post starting with an apology for being a rubbish blogger - sorry! I've had so much school work recently, if you follow me on twitter you'll have seen me moaning about the millions of history essays and reports I've been set - love it... Along with that it's the time of year when everyone who is getting ready to apply for university has to fill in their UCAS applications or, if you're like me and totally forgot about it (doss!), then it's the time of year when you go into blind panic about what you're going to do with your life when all the uni's realise that you'd forget your own head if it wasn't screwed on!
The most recent social event has been the S6 social which was interesting to say the least... I spent the night looking after my poorly (through alcohol, don't give too much sympathy!) friend so I didn't have to worry about my picture being in the cringiest album EVER on facebook - oh.my.god. it's the worst thing I've ever seen in my life, although quite funny for me because I'm not in it;)

Tomorrow I'm going to my friend's fundraising ceilidh - she's going on a gap year to Guyana! I bought a new dress today although lace sleeves + someone as clumsy as me = disaster, I've ripped it already! Hopefully it will be okay though:( I'll try and do a FOTD/OOTD before I leave although I don't have my memory card at the moment so I'll try and use my mum's!

Okay, I've probably bored you to death with that ramble, which by the look of it talks about a lot... it actually only covers about 3 points... oh well!
On to the actual substance of this post - what's in my every-day make up bag?
The bag that I use is actually something I got for my birthday which contained shower gel and a body scrub/sponge thing. It's from Elle MacPherson's 'The Body' collection and is the perfect size to fit all the make up I use on a daily basis.

Eyes/face: As always, I use No7 Triple Protection tinted moisturiser in fair. It's fab, I absolutely love this and would definitely recommend it if you have okay skin and just want a light/medium coverage.
For concealer I use Benefit's Erase Paste on any blemishes and Collection 2000's concealer under my eyes and on any red areas that I'm particularly bothered about. The colour's for both these products are 1 Fair.
My eye makeup is always pretty simple, and it's been the same for the past two years - I got a compliment on it yesterday though which keeps me believing that it's not getting old! I use Rimmel's Exaggerate liquid liner to create a winged line and then Collection 2000's brown pencil liner just under my bottom lashes. To define my eye a bit more I use a black kohl pencil by Rimmel - I'm not sure on the name as it's rubbed off!
My lovely lovely lovely mascara is No7 Intense Volume! I'm sure you've read me rambling about this before but it's just grrrreat! Honestly, all the No7 mascaras I've tried have been really good, so if you've not tried one and aren't too sure about the £12 price tag, use a £5 voucher and trust me - you'll love it!

Lips: I don't wear lipstick during the week unless I'm out at night, because it's not really the 'done thing' at my school. I really like the toffee Fat Balm by Eyeko - it's a really nice neutral colour that just warms up the rest of your complexion.
I bought Revlon's Va Va Violet for a fancy dress party I was going to dressed as a punk! I've discovered that if I dab it on lightly it makes a gorgeous berry colour, not purple in the slightest (although the swatch below is probably the worst example I could have given, sorry!)
No3 by Kate Moss for Rimmel London (mouthful?!?!) isn't my favourite shade to wear, but it's nice if I want that feeling that I've made an effort by wearing lipstick, without it obviously looking like I'm wearing any.. just read that mack and it makes NO sense what so ever! If you understand what I mean let me know, hahaha!
MAC Fanfare is fab. Read my post on it here.

Below are swatches of the lipsticks mentioned.
Clockwise from top left: Va Va Violet, Fanfare, Shade 3

Again, sorry for being to rubbish with keeping up with my blog recently! As ever I'll end by saying that I'm going to keep a steady flow of posts from now on but if I'm 100% honest I don't know if that's going to work.. I have NABs, essays, tests, etc coming up but I WILL try! I promise!

Have you used any of these products? Any nights out where you've been the baby sitter?!;)

Accidental spending. Again. Marvellous...

I had a really good Saturday this week! I met the girls in Melrose and we went for coffee, and then went down to watch the boys play rugby.. it was interesting to say the least, haha. We went to Boots afterwards because I needed a new lip balm, well.. I didn't, but I'm a bit obsessed with them so I wanted another;) I ended up spending £20+ which was NOT the plan, at all! Then we went to see our friend who has just come out of hospital (actually, she's back in today so send her love and hugs!) which was nice, we've not all been together for ages because when we've visited her we've been on our own so it was nice to spend time together:) We headed back to Emily's at about 7 because we were staaaarving, and had pizza, chips, garlic bread and ice cream for tea.. we're such ladies... at least there was no cider involved this time!
So on to the important stuff... What did I buy?!

Well, the first thing I bought was, of course, a lip balm by Norwegian Formula - a pretty sensible purchase, and my plan was to pay and then LEAVE. But it went downhill as the makeup counters caught my eye.. As soon as I saw Kate Moss' collection of lipsticks for Rimmel I really wanted one, so I bought one in shade 03.

I also picked up a No7 mascara because I've not come across one that makes my lashes look as nice, and I'll keep buying it until I do! It's amazing, I can't recommend it enough!
After just 2 coats! There are no words to describe how much I LOVE this mascara!

Then I bought a bodyspray from Natural Collection, it doesn't last very long but it smells so nice! Just to show how nice it smells, I sprayed it in the common room today and the game of Fifa was paused (yes they PAUSED Fifa!!!) to work out where the smell was coming from, because it was 'class' and 'amazing'... praise indeed! One of them also described it as smelling like Tutti Fruitti, which I guess it kind of does:)

I also bought some Boots own eye gel, just to see if it will actually work to reduce some of the puffiness around my eyes, they're not that bad, but there's always room for improvement! (Sorry for the lack of picture - my bad)

Finally, I really needed some kind of nail repair polish, so I got this one by Rimmel because recently my nails have been spitting really easily - not airing them enough between polishes I think!- as well as some heat protecting spray by got2b.

So overall I've had a really good, although unnecessarily expensive weekend! So much to look forward to - next Saturday I'm off to an 18th, dressed as a farmer.. and then maybe dress shopping on Sunday. And on the 7th I'm going to Barcelona!:):) So excited, I know it's a school trip but with my two best friends going too it will be amazing!

Two coats of mascara, and the Kate Moss lipstick - a rare picture of me with no eyeliner!

I hope you've had a good weekend too! Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you thought of them!

I went shopping!

I went to Edinburgh with my mum because I seriously had nothing to wear on those days when it's too warm for a coat, but to cold for just a cardigan or something, so I needed more jumpers and things like that. I didn't buy much, and was contemplating doing a quick video as it would take less time and I could show you the items in more detail, but my webcam annoys me to much so I'll just stick to good ol' regular bloggin'!
I went to H&M first because aaaaah I love that shop so much! The first thing I got was this bag for school - I have to carry 3 lever arch files, a ring binder as well as all the other crap that I insist on taking to school (water, phone, ipod, approx.5738947 lip balms, keys, hand sanitiser, mints/gum, kirby grip tin etc) so I needed a big one, and that's exactly what I got - this one is haauuuuuuuge! Honestly, I think I could fit a small country in here - perfect! ...and it was only £30:-)

I then bought this gorgeous jumper for £9.99 - it was love at first sight! This picture doesn't do it justice AT ALL, it's amazing. The colour is a gorgeous rust and the fit is lovely - I got it in a medium because I wanted a slouchy fit, but I think it would look really nice in a slightly tighter fit also.
I also got a grey v-neck, but I forgot to take a picture... tut tut.

Then I went to River Island and saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life... in the form of this gorgeous sheer navy blouse. It was originally £22 but it was £10 off, so it was a steal at £12! I was amazed there were any left, although they were hidden in a corner.. It's longer at the back than at the front, which I think gives a really elegant silhouette, more so than a boxy even hemmed shirt. It's really flattering, and I just love it. Oh and did I mention... it's batwing! Again, my crappy self portrait skills don't to this blouse OR my camera justice, but bare with me while I get used to using it!

I then went to Zara and picked up a really nice pair of camel skinny jeans. They were only £19 so it was a real bargain! They fit really well and make my legs look really slim - if you could see me you'd know slim is the last work you'd use to describe my legs, hahaha!

I also went to New Look where I bought a mustard yellow vest top, just because they're handy to have so shove on under things, and then these amaaaazing loafers. Cover anything with leopard print and I'll buy it. These shoes were only £17.99 and they're so comfy and just lovely!

I had a really good day shopping with my mum - we NEVER go together, we just end up stressing eachother out but this time it ran smoothly, hahaha! She bought herself a Radley bag so I think that put her in a good mood ;) Have you bought any of these things recently?

Introducing myself... Finally!

So I've been on blogger for about two months now and I don't think I've ever properly told you who I am, so this post is to do exactly that!
I'm Evie, and I'm sixteen. I live in Scotland, but I haven't always been here - I was born in Liverpool and lived in the North West of England until just under 4 years ago.. and I miss it loads, even after all this time! I much prefer being in the city/suburbs to the countryside I guess..
I don't really know what to say, I'm not very good at this.. If you want to know anything else then leave a comment, or tweet me @eeevc (how cringe does that sound?!)
Yep... VERY basic, but I'm not the best at talking about myself. I'll leave you with a picture to put a face to the name/blog! (Sorry about the poor quality, I couldn't be bothered getting my big camera out)

NOTD: Dotty for Barry M!

I mentioned my nails (briefly) in that video, so I thought I'd do a really quick post on them so you can see what I was jibbering on about!
There's not much I can say.. From looking at the pictures it's pretty self explanatory how I did it, so I won't insult your intelligence by going through each step. On my ring finger it's green, then pink, then glitter.. that's basically the only information you might want:)
Sorry for the dodgy paint job, I was talking/watching telly whilst doing it, and my mum kept making me laugh.. so yeah, it's a bit messy.

L-R: Peach Melba, Mint Green, Pink Iridescent, Flamingo Pink. All Barry M.

Delayed Lipstick Swatches... Oops!

Okay, sorry it's been so long! I've been really busy doing homework that I should have done weeks ago, and being with friends etc. so I apologize for the lack of blogging for the past weeks!
Some of you reminded me that I'd forgotten to post swatches of the lipsticks I was talking about in my make up bag, so this is basically just a catch up post to show you what they all look like. The swatches are on my arm rather than my lips because I was out last night and I'd rather not be photographed right now!

L to R: MAC - Fanfare, Rimmel - Glam, Chanel - Audace, Natural Collection - Coral Shimmer,
Avon - Perfect Peach, Natural Collection - Pink Mallow

Prices: MAC - £13.50, Rimmel - unsure, around £5?, Chanel - £22, Natural Collection - £1.99!!!,
Avon - unsure, around £5/6?

Again, I'm sorry for neglecting my blog so much, but I'm going to try and do a post a week from now on. I'm going back to school on Monday so I think that's probably the best way to do it, because I really really reaaalllly need to put effort in this year, my exams weren't too great (BCCD) so I need to focus on school this year... I'll do a review on the Natural Collection lipsticks soon - love them!

Have you used any of these lipsticks? What did you think of them?

Inside My Make Up Bag

Second post of today, I couldn't think of an interesting post to do, so I just went for a boring snoop in my make up bag instead. I use the Tony & Guy bag I got at Christmas that, funnily enough was filled with Tony & Guy goodies, not make up. It's quite big though so easily fits everything I use on a daily basis, and more!

First up, face products. I don't really like to use foundation as I don't like the way it makes my skin feel, so I much prefer a tinted moisturiser. This one by No7 works really well although it can look a bit dodgy in the evening if I put it on in the morning (9am), but to be fair I don't touch up/blot etc during the day, so if I did then I think it would still look great. I rarely use primer, but when I do it's Photo Flawless by 17. I find that if my skin is particularly dry one day then simply but putting this on it makes it so much easier to apply the tinted moisturiser without it sticking on dry areas. Benefit Georgia powder is really useful for when you want a subtle shimmer to your look. It's not harsh at all, in fact it can't be seen in some lights, but in my opinion it's a great product for adding depth without making it obvious (it also smells gorgeous!) Finally, concealers. I use Erase Paste by Benefit for dark under-eye circles, and Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection concealer for blemishes and imperfections I find.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer - around £4, 17 Photo Flawless Primer - around £5, No7 Tinted Moisturiser - £12.50, Erase Paste by Benefit - £19.50, Benefit Georgia Powder - around £20

Next, eyes. My favourite part of any make up look! These are my everyday basic products, when I go out I tend to use my larger No7 palette. Eyeliner is an important feature in my personal make up look, I wear winged liquid liner every day, putting it on had just become part of my morning routine! I'm currently using Exaggerate by Rimmel in 100% Black. It's really easy to apply and lasts the whole day without smudging, even in the 'summer'. I also use a No7 brown kohl just under my bottom lashes and sometimes finish it off with a black pencil also my Rimmel (the exact names/colours of these have rubbed off). My favourite mascara is Intense Volume by No7. It's a great buildable, long lasting mascara that doesn't flake even if I'm wearing 2/3 coats. It does exactly what it says on the tin. For a sort of 'base' I use Cream Eye Colour in shade Cashmere by The Body Shop. It's a really nice goldy/nude shade that also goes really well on it's own for a more subtle look. It's a cream and is applied with the provided brush (which looks similar to a lipgloss brush). The No7 trio contains three very wearable shades of brown, bronze and a nudey/white colour. I think I'll be using this box before I go for tea tomorrow! I believe eyelash curlers are so important when doing your eye makeup, they make such a difference to your appearance. You look more awake and refreshed, even if you've only curled your lashes and applied mascara.
Rimmel Liquid Liner - around £6, No7 brown & Rimmel blacl kohl - £?, No7 Intense Volume Mascara - Around £12,  The Body Shop Cream Eye Colour - £?,  No7 Bronze Palette - around £10, Eyelash curlers - around £4

Now lips. First, Clinique lip shaping pencil in Mahogany. This is a very subtle but powerful shade. Once lipstick is applied over the top it transforms from a weak line to a bold barrier around your lips, whilst still avoiding that clown-like look than we're sometimes faced with when wearing a lip liner. Fanfare by MAC, I've just written a small review of this product, so I won't bore you with the same again! Next, Rouge Allure by Chanel in Audace. This is a very strong red, that is not to be worn when you're feeling like you want to blend in with the crowd. I wear this with a slick of black liquid liner on my top lid, and lashings of mascara. Then, Glam by Rimmel. I really love this shade for when I want a more natural look. It's a gorgeous shade of pearly pink and it's so glossy it looks as if you've finished it off with a clear gloss. Gorgeous. Then Perfect Peach by Avon. I don't really buy from Avon any more, as for some reason they're stopped delivering in my area. I do really like this lip colour though. Exactly as is is described - the perfect shade of peach. Then No7 Liplicious Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss in Bon Bon. The name doesn't lie, this gloss is ultra shiny, but not gloopy or sticky as some can be. It looks rather nice over Fanfare actually! Then a lip plumping gloss by Rimmel. I love this! I'll need to repurchase soon because I'm so close to finishing! You can really feel this working, although it isn't stingy or too irritating, and the colour looks great too. (I've looked but can't find the colour, although it says 9041 on the bottom?) Finally, Lip Gloss Dot by The Body Shop in number 04. This looks as though it would be matte, but it has a lovely glossy finish to it, which is what makes me love it!
MAC Fanfare - £13.50, Chanel Audace - around £22, Rimmel Glam - around £6, Avon Perfect Peach - around £6,
No7 Gloss Bon Bon - around £7, Rimmel Volume Booster - around £6, The Body Shop 04 - £?

I hope you enjoyed this post, it took a long time to write!;) Do you have any of these products in your make up bag? Can you recommend some alternatives?
